Zanshin was the eight and ultimate step of Kyujutsu, the continuation of the shot. The archer had already released the arrow, Hanare, which was flying truth. Therefore he held his position as he regained the state of mind he had before the release, assuring he could shoot his next arrow in the same way as the previous, and lowered his bow. [1]
