Yogo Tenari was a brash shugenja [1] who was appointed as district governor of Otosan Uchi, the one which would be known as Meiyoko district in the 12th century. He ordered to build a estate beneath an enchanting grove, which one year later was ravaged by an earthquake, killing Tenari and his entire family. [2] The district began to be known as Tenari's Ruin. The estate was began to be rebuilt after the Scorpion Coup, [3] becoming a military staging ground. [4]
