Yasuki Tanaka was a Kolat Master [1] and a merchant of a minor family of the Crane. He invented the Koku [2] and designed the coin in 243 that could be recognized even today. [3]

It was used exclusively by the Crane until the Emperor wondered about the little copper coin and he was given the minting plates as a gift by Tanaka. [3] [2]
