Please note: This article is about the Fortune of Dancing. For other uses of the term, please see Uzume (disambiguation).

Uzume was the Fortune of Dancing. [1] He was humorous and friendly, so very few could earn the wrath of the Fortune of Dance, only those who tended to take life too seriously for the good of themselves or any around them. Uzume had two shrines that constantly competed to be the most prominent of the Fortune's devoted structures. One was located within the Asahina Temples, and the other stood near Shiro Ide. [2]
