Ujina Shou was a blacksmith of the Hare Clan.
Father's Death Edit
Shou was the son of Ujina Tatsuhei, a renowned blacksmith of the Hare Clan. Their village was under the protection of the Lion Clan during their conflict with the Scorpion Clan. His father worked for the Lion for a promise of protection for his family during their conflict with the Scorpion Clan, and money after the war. In the Month of the Hare in 1200, Shou suffered an unknown illness, which was healed shortly before Tatsuhei appeared mauled to death by wild boars.
Shou took his father's post as blacksmith. When Mirumoto Hikuryo requested the katana he had commissioned to Tatsuhei, Shou was forced to finish it. The blade was already prepared, but not the hilt. Hikuryo departed with the weapon, unknown that the braiding would come loose with ease, making the sword fell apart. It was unclear if Shou knew that his father was not really dead, but kidnapped by Scorpion agents, or if Shou himself had been replaced by a Scorpion agent.
