Tsuruchi Akifumi

Ikoma Akifumi was a courtier of the Lion Clan who eventually became ronin, and later joined the Mantis Clan as Tsuruchi Akifumi, a Bounty Hunter and magistrate.

Ronin

Ikoma Akifumi was a courtier born to a wealthy branch of the Ikoma family. His Lord was assassinated by an unknown assailant, and his new daimyo had a much more militaristic and traditional mindset. Disgusted with the weakness of dilettantes like Akifumi, the new lord made them all into ronin to punish them for the death of their previous liege.

Mantis Clan

Akifumi learned how to become a tracker, warrior, and archer. He was accepted in the Tsuruchi, pledging his allegiance in return for their assistance in finding his previous lord's murderer. He became convinced the assassin was related to the mystery of Nazo Mori and moved there.
