Tsunami Legion, the Seventh Phoenix Legion of the Shiba Army, ^[1] was an Elemental Guard unit composed by shugenja who studied water magic. ^[2] This legion of shugenja was attended by the Shiba Eighth Phoenix Legion, the Legion of the Wave, who were specially trained to interact with that legion. ^[1] They were among the fastest forces in the Empire. ^[3]

Conflicts Edit

Scorpion Coup Edit

In the first day of the Scorpion Coup, few units of the Tsunami Legion uder the command of Shiba Tsukune arrived to Otosan Uchi to fight the Scorpion, the first military units to intervene after the Coup. ^[4]

War of Fire and Thunder Edit

The Tsunami Legion had great success in the beginning of the War of Fire and Thunder, overturning Mantis ships and commanding the waves to suck all surviving sailors to the bottom of the sea. ^[5]

Third Yasuki War Edit

This unit intervened without success in the Third Yasuki War. ^[6]

Dark Oracle of Earth Edit

In 1170 the Legion was sent alongside forces from other clans to the Sleeping Thunder Mountain. The Dark Oracle of Earth Yasuki Nokatsu had been located there. Nokatsu had prepared an ambush against them, an avalanche, but his death at hands of Isawa Mizuhiko halted his plans. ^[7]

Destroyer War Edit

In 1172 during the Destroyer War a unit of the Legion were destroyed in a single strike of the God Beast of Kali-Ma, a gigantic creature, near Ryoko Owari Toshi. ^[8]
