Doji Akemetsu of House Tsume was the first son of Tsume Takashi. Akemetsu became the new Tsume Daimyo when his father retired in 1158, after the death of Toturi I. [1] In 1170 an aged Akemetsu was still leading his family, and he believed the Lion-Crane alliance would not last. [2]
