Tomuko was a grave-digger eta girl who lived at Mura Tedoni. She was chosen to become the Oracle of Fire. [1]

Scorpion Plans[]

In 1123 the Oracle of Fire began his preparations to depart the mortal realm. The Oracle had to choose a successor, and he choose Tomako. A Scorpion diplomat, Shosuro Shiriko, appeared at the Oracle's lair and attempted to trick him, claiming her love to the Oracle. Tomuko fled when the couple kissed each other. After she left the cave someting went amiss between the couple, because the nearby holding of Kyuden Shosuro began to suffer the attack of the Oracle. [2]

Chased by the Scorpion[]

The Scorpion Clan were outraged, and attempted to manipulate the Oracle into declaring one of their own as the next Oracle. A group of samurai found Tomuko and confronted the Scorpion party who wished her death, departing with her unharmed. [3]

Oracle of Fire[]

The group arrived to the Oracle's cave, and unexpectedly Shiriko also appeared. She managed to be close of the Oracle, enough to stab him with Shosuro's Dagger. Before the courtier could steal the Oracle's power and bestow it upon her, the samurai broke her grip. The Oracle burned all the Scorpion, including Shiriko, so their plan failed and Tomuko became the new Oracle of Fire. [4]

Flight of the Dragons[]

In 1127 during the Clan War, several Black Scrolls were opened, disturbing the Celestial Order. The Elemental Dragons withdrew from Rokugan and their Oracles went into hiding. The Oracles of Darkness twisted the power of a different element releasing the Elemental Terrors, whose spawn appeared elsewhere. Decided to counteract their corrupted counterparts, Asako Shingon and Iuchi Yogosha were brought to create a set of Elemental Nemuranai. The Oracles rested knowing the balance had been achieved.
