Usagi Ozaki

Usagi Ozaki

On the road to Shiro Usagi an army of dead marches led by Jama Suru, and he smiles as they are approaching the castle. A group of samurai stand in the road, preparing to make their final stand. Hare Clan Champion Usagi Ozaki holds the Ancestral Sword Kenno in his hand, and contemplates the recent deaths of too many Hares. Suru stops just out of range of the archers, and halt the undead with a single gesture. He calls out to the Hare, warning them of their impending deaths. Ozaki tells him to try, but Suru continues and tries to convince some of those there to swear loyalty to Iuchiban and they will be spared. No-one takes his offer, and Suru continues explaining that they are outnumbered six to one and none will come to save them. Ozaki counters that Suru is not the first to promise their destruction. Suru is angered and commands the army to attack. At that moment a drum sounds from the nearby Shinomen Mori, and Ozaki's son Usagi Kashira appears in the treeline. He is stained from days travel, but his weary face shines with hope. Next to him is the Daidoji Daimyo Daidoji Kikaze, leading the iron cavalry of the Crane Clan. Ozaki salutes his allies, but Suru calls out to the "Children of Doji" to attempt to save the Hare and orders his army to attack.
