The Temple of the Five-Fold Balance was a sect of the Brotherhood of Shinsei devoted to Gobai, the Fortune of Balance. It was founded in the 4th century by the nun Chirami, a cooker who studied the balance of Elements in different foodstuffs, which would be known as "temple cuisine". Monasteries of the Five-Fold Balance were uncommon and were mostly found in Phoenix lands. Monks and nuns of this order restricted themselves to the kitchen. [1]
