The Temple of Kanosei Furudera was built in the 6th century when these lands were still ruled by the Matsu, [1] several dozen miles west of Shinomen Tower, overlooking Chrysanthemum Petal Lake. It was tended by the Brotherhood of Shinsei, and the dojo to the Kanosei Furudera Shugenja, members of the Order of Kanosei Furudera, a ronin shugenja brotherhood. [2] It also taught the Ronin Yojimbo, Traditional Priest, and Kanosei Duelist schools. Meditation and commune with the kami were the focus of their teachings. [3]
