Two questions: A. Should this be considered copyright infringement, or is it OK to add to this entry? B. The references are made by Clan name only, shouldn't they include the series as well (Way of.../Secrets of...)?

A. dunno. maybe not Ok. Ask WestonWyse.
B. The references used, i.e. Crab p. xx or Crane p. xx are the Way of Series. If they were Secrets of then the reference would be SoCrab p. xx or SoCrane p. xx. etc.

I don't have access to the books ATM to check. There is no "considered", as far as I'm concerned. Is it infringement or is it not? It should be a very clear-cut question. If it's taken from a book, it's infringement. If it's in the wiki editor's own words, it isn't. ~ShibaRyu~ Rings.png Calendar.gif 12:10, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
Seeing as how it was me who wrote the Ancestors I'll answer how I wrote them. To the best of my ability I changed the wording, but tried to maintain the mechanics of the individual ancestors. That is not to say however that some of the write-ups are not very similar to how it is written in the book, because to be honest. There is only so much that can be done sometimes with less than a paragraph of text... I am not completely convinced that I'm safe on the copyright infringement here, but I would like for someone more knowledgeable to double check... Only ones I've done so far are the ancestors from Way of the Crab and Way of the Crane. --Majushi 13:37, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

What for ?[]

This page have the same informations as Category:Ancestors. So, no need in fact -- Goshimo 23:15, January 31, 2010 (UTC)

I see what you're saying, but I don't think it needs to be removed. So long as there isn't any copyright infringement, then these are merely seperate lists on their clan specific pages and a total list on this page. --Majushi 11:20, February 1, 2010 (UTC)
