In addition to Doji Akiko, Isawa Taiko was, well, an Isawa. They're part of the Phoenix. It's a loophole, but nonetheless, it works. Akiko is actually the only non-Phoenix ever to be a Master. --WestonWyse 15:16, 18 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Well, technically she is Phoenix, only married to a Crane. Taiko was the only non phoenix born master... Altho i see both sides of the argument as having some sense i believe Taiko should be left as the first non-phoenix on the council of five. -- Majushi 19:24, 18 Jun 2005
