People |
Suzume Mukashino was the daimyo of the Sparrow Clan.
Stepping Down[]
Mukashino retired and turned the leadership of the clan over to his son, Suzume Kashira, to travel with his grandson, Suzume Yugoki, [1] becoming a venerable storyteller. [2]
Storyteller[]
If Mukashino were to find a samurai of high rank alone or in repose, he would often approach quietly and begin to tell a story. The recipient of the tale would often find their interest dissipating as the story became more and more involved in every detail of Rokugani culture. It was considered a great dishonor to oneself and to Mukashino to ignore his stories or to leave before he had finished. [3]
Winter Court - 1123[]
Mukashino was a pariah in the courts to those that saw him coming, and a revered samurai to those ambushed by his stories. Each year, a Scorpion invitation to Winter Court made its way into Mukashino's hands, as in 1123 when he attended the Emperor's court at Kyuden Seppun. [3]
