Sujuko Mura was set halfway through the Sujuko Pass, the largest pass in the Taru Mountains and one of the few ways to enter and leave the Naishou province without using the Itochu River. It was inhabited by descendents of the Yamataru tribe who worked as farmers and in a stone quarry, and a few families of Takanobu descent who opened various small inns and shops. [1]

Rising Tensions Edit

Several merchant families from Koso Mura set up business there, and the influx of wealth, visitors, and travelers brought a lot of money, but also brought social tension with the new residents. The Yamataru disliked the sinful habits of the new arrivals, and violent incidents began to happen. [1]
