Siege Tower
Siege Towers allowed attackers to circumvent fortifications. They consisted of a large platform atop a tall wheeled scaffolding. Typically the tower wa protected on all four sides by wooden walls. The towers were pushed against castle walls or towers, and the door was lowered to allow the troops inside to storm the fortification. [1]
