Shireikan

The rank of shireikan designates the commander of an army under the command of a rikugunshokan or daimyo. A shireikan will control five taisa and their troops, or approximately 25,000 soldiers. Shireikan are commonly members of a daimyo's personal staff, although low ranking at that. The Shireikan will often have a small personal guard, and may even own a large castle. (Dragon pp. 25-26)
