The Darkness City was founded in the lee of Lookout Mountain, a singular mountain rising form the Lion plains. The ancient Ikoma castle dates back to the occupation of Unicorn lands in their absence. Following the War of the Rich Frog the castle has become heavily guarded, warding against the threat of a Unicorn invasion. (3E p. 293)
[edit] Chagatai's Ambition
In 1168-1169 the Unicorn Clan Champion Moto Chagatai made a move to take the Imperial City and proclaim himself Emperor. His initial attack was against the Lion, overrunning three border posts and sacking Shiranai Toshi. It is unknown the exact extent of damage to the city.[1]
