Shinjo Shimikoto was a bushi of the Unicorn Clan.
Aspiring Crimelord[]
Shortly after his gempukku, Shimikoto saw a group of ronin brutalizing an elderly shopkeeper. They were there to collect the money he owed to his Crab Merchant Patron. Shimikoto usd his family's wealth to become a merchant patron, hiring the scum of the area and putting them to work. Extortion, opium smuggling, and supplying weapons were among his dishonorable actions, which Shimikoto made acceptable by their greater purpose: to benefit and strengthen the Unicorn. He volunteered to travel to the Colonies, to expand his activities to the Second City. [1]
