Order of Courageous Reflection Edit

Prior to the Scorpion Coup it housed ninety sohei of the Order of Courageous Reflection. They used fourteen full-length mirrors for practicing kata in the dojo and as meditational aids. A statue of Shinsei rested in the center. The temple attracted many retire samurai, [3] as they combined the study of the Tao of Shinsei with the Code of Bushido. [4]

Scorpion Coup Edit

The temple was devastated during the Scorpion Clan, when the sohei within fought against the invading Scorpions. They could not defeat the superior numbers of their foes and over three-fourths of the monks were killed. The ranks of the temple were filled in few years, restoring the temple to its capacity. [4]
