From very young she knew of the visions her cousin had. Akiro grew alone, and only Mariko was beside him to watch if he could reveal any prophecy who could endanger the plans of her master. When Akiro became a scholar of a tiny and remote library atop a cliff she visited him in 745 and confirmed that he knew all his prophecies became truth.
Killing her Cousin Edit
In 749 Mariko visited him again, and after Akiro decided to reveal his prophecy records gathered in his satchel, Mariko stabbed him and tried to reach the scrolls. Akiro hurled himself from the cliff, plummeting hundreds of feet to the jagged rocks below, clutching his satchel of prophecies as he fell. Suru magically filled the chasm with rocks to avoid the prophecy scrolls could be retrieved by anybody.
