Shiba Danji was a duelist of the Phoenix Clan who was sensei of the Hundred Stances Dojo until he was defeated by another swordman who took up his position as the champion's dojo. During the challenge his left arm had suffered a terrible fracture he never fully healed. Danji remained one of the leading expert on the Hundred Stances style and taught students in the Minor Dojo.
