Shedding, the 'First Molting', [1] was the Naga came of age, similar to the Rokugani gempukku. [2] After this ceremony the Naga left the House of Children to be trained in his chosen profession. [3] At the same ceremony, Naga were inducted into society and were exposed to an elaborate spell woven with pearl and jade. This ritual made them forever immune to the Shadowlands Taint. [4]
