Seppun Haruhiro was a Seppun Miharu during the reign of Hantei XXXVI.

Crippled[]

Haruhiro was a famed swordsman whose career was cut short when he stepped in front of an assassin's poisoned arrow. He saved the life of the Emperor, but lost the use of his legs. Haruhiro's grandson, Seppun Mashita, orphaned after his parents died young, took care of the crippled samurai. Haruhiro lived vicariously through Mashita's exploits. [1]

Obligation[]

In 1126 Haruhiro's health had deteriorated, and the family's fortune had been exhausted on rare herbal medicines to ease his pain. Fortunately Mashita, currently a renowned duelist, was patroned by the Imperial Herald Miya Satoshi, who even invited the young swordman to the Hantei XXXIX's Winter Court at Kyuden Asako. [2]
