The Shrine to Kakita was dedicated to the memory of Kakita and his first children, Doji Yasurugi and Doji Konishiko, the twins who shared the soul of Thunder. [1]

It was a fair sized temple at Kyuden Kakita that stood between the Kakita Dueling Academy and the Artisan Academy. It was an opulent shrine which was bereft of visitors only at night. Aspiring duelists and artisans came to the shrine seeking the guidance of Kakita. Small shrines had been added, honoring other famous Kakita, as the Emerald Champion Kakita Toshiken, [1] or Kakita Yoshi, Imperial Chancellor during the Clan War. [2] Students of the Acadeny practiced meditation under the tutelage of the monks. [3]
