Satsugai was the Rokugani term for the control of the Spirit Realm of Toshigoku, the Realm of Eternal Slaughter. It was the essence of mindless, bloodthirsty violence, and it immediately made its presence felt when entering Toshigoku. Spirits or creatures that managed to leave Toshigoku gradually felt its influence draining away. [1]
