Saqr al Fediq
Saqr al Fediq
Born: Unknown
Died: Faded to the stars in 1132
Spouse: Sahlah

Saqr al Fediq was a jinn Sahir who impersonated a human and a member of the Celestial Alliance.

Human form Edit

Saqr al Fediq was the name he took when he impersonated a human Sahir with amazing knowledge of lost magic. [1]

Crossroads spell Edit

He visited the court of the Sultan Yusef III at Medinaat al-Salaam from "parts unknown" to introduce a miraculous method of transport called "The Crossroads," which Saqr mastered. [1] When cast by other Sahir it was a spell that could take an individual anywhere, but rarely where he expected. [2]

Love Edit

Saqr courted the Sultan's daughter, Sahlah. She refused because the Sultan's line could not marry out of their caste, regardless of their heart. When in 1132 the Erba'a Alliance descended on the Jewel and the Immortal Caliph murdered the Sultan, Saqr revealed himself as a jinn who had taken human form, and he offered to save as many of the Sultan's people as he could using his spell. Sahlah, her brother Effendi, and the rest of the rescued, were transported to the Citadel, the one remaining jinn stronghold. [1]

Celestial Alliance Edit

Saqr joined the Celestial Alliance to fight the Jinn Lord Kaleel and his legion at Medinaat al-Salaam. [3]

Wedding Edit

Shortly after the Awakening Saqr al Fediq married Sahlah in the Citadel. [1]

Citadel Assaulted Edit

An ebonite member of the Alliance, Pashal, had found the Sayel Blade, which Kaleel was eager to have. Pashal was attacked inside the Citadel of the Alliance by the jackal Monkey Man and Fatima. Only the appearance of the Quest, Lurza, avoided his death. The Citadel was assaulted by the Kaleel's Legion, and his general Ajbar killed Judgment. A wounded Sqar cast the Crossroads and Pashal used it to make a counterattack within the jinn's citadel. The events there led in the arrival of The Quest, who devoured Kaleel and his legion, and the travel of the Shadow-Jinn to the stars alongside Khayel. [3]

Faded to the Stars Edit

After Kaleel and his legion were defeated, Lurza told another sacrifice had to be made, and faded. The members of the Alliance began to have their forms dissolving as light to join their champion in the heavens. There the Alliance would fight his last battle against Sayel, in a place he could not harm the world. Saqr faded to the stars. [3] A seventh star appeared in the sky, as recognition of their sacrifice. [4] It was called the Morning Star. [3]

Death Edit

In the stars every Alliance member died in the fight or was devoured by the Sayel. [5]
