Immortal Caliph

The city of Medinaat al-Salaam was ruled by her father and the Caliph Hanan Talibah. She knew his father was only a figurehead, and the Immortal Caliph reigned over the Jewel with her Khadi guard with iron fist. [1]

The Strange Sahir

A powerful Sahir, Saqr al Fediq, visited the court of the Sultan from "parts unknown" to introduce a miraculous method of transport called "The Crossroads". [1] When cast it was a spell that could take an individual anywhere. [2]

Love

Saqr courted Sahlah, but she refused The Sultan's line could not marry out of their caste, regardless of their heart. When in 1132 the Erba'a Alliance descended on the Jewel and the Immortal Caliph murdered the Sultan, Saqr revealed himself as a jinn who had taken human form, and he offered to save as many of the Sultan's people as he could using his spell. Sahalah, her brother, and the rest of the rescued, were transported to the Citadel, the one remaining jinn stronghold from the Day of Wrath. [1]

Wedding

Shortly after the Awakening Saqr al Fediq and Sahalah married at the Citadel. [1] Saqr was a member of the Celestial Alliance, who fought the Jinn Lord Kaleel and his legion, after they roamed again the Burning Sands when they were freed during the Awakening. [3]

Citadel Assaulted

An ebonite member of the Alliance, Pashal, had found the Sayel Blade, which Kaleel was eager to have. Pashal was attacked inside the Citadel of the Alliance by the jackal Monkey Man and Fatima. Only the appearance of the Quest, Lurza, avoided his death. The Citadel was assaulted by the Kaleel's Legion, and his general Ajbar killed Judgment. Pashal used the Crossroads to make a counterattack within the jinn's citadel. The events there led in the arrival of The Quest, who devoured Kaleel and his legion, and the travel of the Shadow-Jinn to the stars alongside Khayel. [3]

Faded to the Stars

After Kaleel and his legion were defeated, Lurza told another sacrifice had to be made, and faded. The members of the Alliance began to have their forms dissolving as light to join their champion in the heavens. There the Alliance would fight his last battle against Sayel, in a place he could not harm the world. Her husband Saqr al Fediq faded to the stars. [3] A seventh star appeared in the sky, as recognition of their sacrifice. [4] It was called the Morning Star. [3]
