Brick Village (L8)

Brick Village (L8) in the Renga province [1] was almost entirely constructed from red stone bricks. [2]

Forest village[]

The village was established to harvest lumber from the only major Lion forest, Kokoro Nezuban Mori. This lumber went entirely towards military purposes, and the peasants who lived there were not allowed to use it for building, hence the village name. Nearby there was an obsolete military base, Shiro no Shinjin, the unofficial headquarters of the Lion Deathseekers, [3] [4] and it was located near Tonfajutsen and Ninkatoshi. [5] The most notable location was the House of the Steadfast Oak. [2]

History[]

Katai family[]

The Katai family was granted with his ancestral estate there, the Brick Keep, in 438. The city grew from a small town into a thriving village. They later established a dojo there. [5]

Supply point[]

In 1169 during the Khan's Defiance the village was used by the Kitsu Daimyo Kitsu Katsuko to coordinate the supplying of the Lion forces defending the Imperial City Toshi Ranbo. [6]

Rise of Jigoku[]

In 1200 the Rokugani forces camped at the village after they withdrew from the Seikitsu Pass when pressed by the rebellious Spider Clan and their tainted allies. [7]
