Yume-do was the Realm of Dreams, and Yumeji was the control it exerted upon its inhabitants. [1]

Connection to other Realms[]

All sentient life, even divine sentient life, must dream, and these dreams had collected together in the mish-mash that was Yume-do. [2] Though it didn't directly border Ningen-do, this Realm was the only one into which mortals could enter regularly, as they did every night in their sleep through their dreams. Yume-do was also close to Tengoku, Meido, and Sakkaku. The only Realm distant from Yume-do was Toshigoku. [3]

Known Passages to Ningen-do[]

The Shinomen Mori, the Forest of the Dreamers near Shiro Iuchi, an underground lake under High House of Light, a shrine to Yume-do on the Mantis Isles, and an opium den in Otosan Uchi, all laid close to Yume-do. [1]

Layout and Inhabitants[]

This realm appeared to be a fractured realm, composed of smaller realms created by the minds of the dreamers within. [4] It was inhabited by harmless baku, dream spirits. Jigoku made several attempts to invade Yume-do, resulting in the creation of shiyokai and Baku no Oni. The taint however could not be caught in dreams, and only nightmares can follow the attacks. [5] The other inhabitants were the Nezumi Transcendents, and the Naga. [6]

Nezumi[]

Yume-do was known as I'thich to the Nezumi. [7] It was the residence of the Transcendents. [8]

Tomorrow[]

The Celestial Heavens were unbalanced and Yume-do, as it was made of dreams, was the least stable of the realms so it was the first affected. The land of dreams was going mad and destroying itself in the process. Tomorrow threatened to collapse the land, and dragons, or what appeared to be dragons, were approaching from a distance, destroying everything as they went. Entities resembling Lord Sun and Lady Moon walked at their side. They should be defeated or there would be nothing left. The realm itself was in danger, and the One Tribe traveled to Yume-do in 1169 to join with the Transcendents to restabilize it. The nezumi won the Battle of Tomorrow, and the realm estabilized, but the nezumi involved were trapped in Yume-do. [9]

Naga[]

Nearly all Naga went to Yume-do after death. Naga found themselves pulled to the great city Akasha, deep in Yume-do. There, they awaited rebirth in the next generation of Naga. In Yume-do, the Naga race was eternal. [3]
