Porisuko was a ronin village. It was named after Porisu, the original leader of the Guards' Wrath, founders of the village. [1]
Founding[]
The village began as a winter camp for the Guards' Wrath, an otokodate, who eventually decided to make it their permanent base of operations. Additional ronin, uprooted peasants, and camp followers all settled in the safe refuge, which became a true village. [1]
Growing[]
The ronin built a temple to Mikoto, Fortune of Ronin, which attracted the Brotherhood of Shinsei to the village. Teh monks called their new home Porisuko in honor of the original founder of the Guards. Years later the settlement was formally part of the Empire after an agreement was made to forgive the doubt of Imperial Taxes but the obligation to admit an Imperial Tax Collector in the town. A small community of eta grew up on the southern outskirts of Porisuko. [2]
