Otomo Sorai was the Otomo Daimyo. [1]

Child Edit

Training Edit

His family recognized the raw talent he displayed, and encouraged it sending Sorai to the Otomo Seiyaku school. By the time of his gempukku he was a skilled and manipulative courtier who could best the canniest Scorpion. [2]

Otomo Sorai

Sorai performed with great success the ancestral Otomo duty, to maintain strife and conflict between the Great Clans. Few were aware of how manipulative he was, and his presence was considered an incalculable honor. His thin body, luxurious clothes, and shaved head was a facade to appear warm and friendly at all times, instead the cold, hard and cruel man he truly was. [2]

Emperor's Aide Edit

While Sorai was Hantei XXXVIII's aide, marriages performed without his approval were not considered legal. [3] In 1120 was Bayushi Kachiko the new Emperor's aide. [4]

Miya's Failure Edit

Sorai found the Miya family had provoked mismanagement of the Forbidden City, and he was waiting for the right time to disclose it. [5]

After Scorpion Coup Edit

Sorai after the Scorpion Coup worked toward the reinstatement of the fallen Scorpion Clan. Although Sorai never spoke to Bayushi Kachiko directly, the current Emperor's wife, Sorai knew that she was the strength behind her fallen clan. [6]
