Otaku Masero was a Stable Master of the Unicorn Clan.
Otaku stables[]
Masero was a stable boy, only a few years past twelve when he was working for the Stable Master Otaku Kojiro. Masero was present at the death of the mare Kouchi, who had been the favourite mare of Otaku Kamoko, during giving birth. The foal was believed to be stillborne until a twelve year old girl, the daughter of Kamoko, breathed life into the foal. Masero alerted Kojiro and the visiting Iuchi Daiyu, and Daiyu declared the foal's mark on it's ankle to be an omen of war but not death. [1]
Otaku Kamoko[]
A few years later he was working in the stables during Otaku Kamoko's gempukku ceremony. A lightning strike started a flash fire, and Masero made Kamoko aware of the fact that the fire was heading towards the north fields where the pregnant mares were being stabled. [2]
Stable Master[]
Masero succeeded Kojiro as Stable Master [3] in 1131, when his master died during a fire in the Otaku Stables. [4]
