Omiki was the Rokugani term for the sacramental sake. It was served freely and fresh from the barrel, which was broken open with ceremonial wooden mallets. [1] Sacramental sake could only be shizuka sake, a filtered sake using burlap sacks suspended over barrels, gradually catching the slow-dripping product. [2]
