Nue
Nue were birdlike flying spirits from Chikushudo, but they had been known to occasionally cross into Ningen-do when the barriers between realms were weakened by excess use of magic. [1]
Appearance and Abilities[]
Nue could take the form of any animal, but they most often manifested as large birds. They were usually vibrantly colored.
A Nue attacked by swooping out from the sun with and using its breath weapon. It then landed to kill and devour its prey. Multiple Nue would cooperate, taking turns dive-bombing opponents. [1] Nue would not attack a human unless provoked. However, the sight of a human attacking an animal counted as a provocation. [2]
