Ninube family

From L5r: Legend of the Five Rings

The Ninube family is a family corrupted by the Lying Darkness. They use the power of Nothing and are skillfull ninja and shapeshifters. When someone joins the Ninube, he starts losing his own identity: he forgets his name and his face dissapears, his head becoming like an egg. After the defeat of Goju Adorai and the naming of the Lying Darkness, the Ninube continued working with a secret agenda. ^{[citation needed]}

They hate the Shadow Dragon because it took the power of the Lying Darkness, and its goal is different: the Lying Darkness wanted to unmake creation, but the Shadow Dragon doesn't. But the Shadow Dragon is manipulating the Ninube for its own secret purposes. The Ninube were keeping the Egg of P'an Ku until they gave it to Iuchiban. ^[1] They have infiltrated the Crane Clan, Crab Clan, Dragon Clan, and the Shadowlands for an unknown purpose, and they tried to kill Shinjo Shono's daughter. ^[2] No one knows if this plan is the Ninube's own or a result of the Shadow Dragon's manipulations.

The Ninube had a secret refuge among the ruins of Otosan Uchi, but Asahina Sekawa, the Jade Champion, noticed something wrong and prepared to cleanse this evil. Chochu, who turned away from the Shadow Dragon, was leading the Ninube at Otosan Uchi, and its secret purpose was to consume the power of Shono's daughter, who is the reincarnated Shinjo, and the soul of Togashi, to reign supreme in Ningen-do. Sekawa and his army confronted the Ninube at Otosan Uchi. Doji Reju died to save Sekawa's life. Reju's daughter, Mirumoto Ryosaki, killed Chochu. The Ninube were defeated and their power vanished. ^[3]
