Moto Yaeko was a samurai-ko who became a Dark Moto and Akutenshi. She later founded the Shrine of Tenno Heika as Yaeko.

Akutenshi[]

Moto Tsume led the Moto into the Shadowlands in 825, [1] and Yaeko followed the ill-fated charge as her shireikan. She fell to the corruption becoming an Akutenshi. [2]

Concealed Cult[]

One hundred years later she returned to Rokugan and built the Shrine of Tenno Heika, founding the Servants of Heaven, a concealed Maho-tsukai cult. The recruiters, only one or two per year, were initiated into maho and soon transferred to the Shadowlands to become akutsukai. [2]

Exposed[]

A letter reporting the truth of the cult reached Kuni Norichika, who in turn was passed to Seikansha, and Isawa Tadaka, warning of the tainted cult within the Imperial City. [3]
