Please note: This article is about the local arbiter of the Dueling Fields at Dark Edge Village. For other uses of the term, please see Kenta (disambiguation).

Moto Kenta was a bushi of the Unicorn Clan.

Demeanor and Appearance[]

Kenta was a stocky and brown-skinned bushi, who wore a fur-lined coat and hat. He was a loud, outspoken, and hot-headed samurai who delighted in horsemanship and strong drink.

Duelist[]

A skilled duelist, Kenta developed a propensity for offending samurai of other clans, then challenging them to duels. His dueling days came to an end when he was defeated by a Crane, who slashed the Unicorn's hands every time he attempted to recover his blades from the ground. Kenta bore deep scars on the backs of his hands and an outspoken distaste for the Crane Clan since that day. [1]

Arbiter of Duels[]

With a keen gift for scrutinizing his opponents, Kenta was appointed as the local arbiter of the Dueling Fields at Dark Edge Village, which were tended by the resident shrine-keeper shugenja-ko, Iuchi Masuyo. Kenta resided in a simple building of foreign style in the Administrative Center. He used to visit Ide Oyunbileg, the local governor, to expose his complains. The arbiter spent much of his time riding with other local bushi and occasionally honing his swordsmanship. [2]
