Morning Frost Castle

Morning Frost Castle

Morning Frost Castle (D6) was a remote keep, and its principle purpose was as a dojo, to teach samurai how to teach. Those who were chosen to succeed other sensei at major Dragon dojo were taken there for a period of up to six months in order to prepare them. [1] It was the primary dojo of the Mirumoto Master Sensei. [2]

Founding[]

The castle was built in the year 774 to serve as a winter residence for the Mirumoto Daimyo, a man who was the first Daimyo to have studied as a Mirumoto Taoist Swordsman. Raised with the philosophy of improving oneself by overcoming adversity, the daimyo demanded the castle be built in the coldest and most inhospitable part of the Mirumoto Provinces. [3]

Rise of Jigoku[]

In 1200 the Dragon Wall was magically built with no gate, no door, blocking the entrance to or exit from the Dragon provinces north of Last Step Castle. It stretched to the top of the mountainsides, from the high base of Morning Frost Castle to the other side of the pass. [4]
