Miya Ebekko
Born: Unknown
Died: 9th century

Miya Ebekko was a noblewoman of the Imperial Families.

Death Edit

Ebekko and her two assistants were traveling from the Falcon lands to the Crane provinces. They took a shortcut through the Shinomen Forest and their corpses were found two weeks later. It took the eta several days to collect the many fragments of bone and flesh. Some said a ronin, Gugaku, was the culprit, while others said they were attacked by a beast or fell to a Naga trap. [1] The three women were given proper funeral rites in Otosan Uchi with a sprig of wood from the Shinomen Mori added to the pile, so they could rest at last. [2]

After death Edit

The place was haunted by the restless spirits of the women, and it was known as the Sighing Moon Murders. The trees did not grow, the muddy stain remained, and during the day the place looked dark and foreboding. [1]
