On it Tsuruku told she was a bloodspeaker spy, the murderer of the Mirumoto Daimyo Mirumoto Uso, and about a cursed sword that urged her to murder. Tsuruko stated that the murdered Mirumoto magistrate appeared in the city two days ago was another of her victims. Kazunori followed her to a the temple of Seiden Sanzo, and confronted her. The blade recognized a better host and seized the warrior, who was unable to resist it. He killed Tsuruko and a monk who was there, fleeing into the wilderness.
Kazunori hid for a time in a small shrine, until Mirumoto Kenzo and Kaelung, who were investigating the murders, found him. Tsuruko had been killed by a left-handed swordsman and they suspected about the disappeared yojimbo. Maddened by the blade Kazunori attacked but died under Kaelung's axe.
