Minogame, or “straw raincoat turtle,” was named thusly because its tail resembled a farmer's straw coat. This creature was said to be able to live for thousands of years, and the minogame grew to massive size. [1]

Play Edit

In a Rokugani peasant play a man named Taro rescued a young princess from tormentors while she was in the guise of a tortoise. In return, a minogame sent from the hidden Sea Palace of Suitengu came ashore to escort the peasant deep beneath the Umi Amaterasu for the Fortune to bestow him with favor. When Taro returned to shore he found that over 300 years have passed, but the minogame had not aged a day. [1]
