Mikoshi was the Head Monk of the Shrine of the Ki-Rin. In 1159 the shrine had been seized by the Dragon during the War of Fire and Snow. A group of samurai at the behest of the Shiba family requested him the Ancestral Armor of the Phoenix Clan, which had been left in the shrine by Shiba Tsukune before she ascended as a Fortune. Mikoshi gave the armor when they showed the proper credentials from the Shiba family. [1]
