|Children:||Several un-named sons|
Sukio was a a stern, thin woman in her late fifties, with gray hair, sunken cheeks, tired and wrinkled skin. In one of the wars with the Crane Clan her husband Matsu Kojita and both their sons died in battle. Sukio was too old to remarry, so she just stayed in her house, as the resident samurai of the village of Aian, in the Naishou Province.
Shidou, headman of the village, his wife, and his daughter all disappeared together. On the same night, a blacksmithy worker named Kou was murdered. Sukio was too involved with her own concerns and had largely ignored the events in the village. The local doshin, Mukitsu and Kozo, supported a group of visiting samurai who had been sent to investigate the crimes.
Sukio was tired of her life, and wantedto die as a samurai, in combat. She challenged one of the visiting samurai, losing the duel, an honorable end to her life.
