Kakita Ichiro and Morishigi had ended with no results the talk negotiations and the ensuing battle was ready to start. [3]

Winter Court - 1126 Edit

In 1126 Morishigi assisted to the Imperial winter court at Kyuden Asako. He argued with the Tsume Daimyo Doji Takashi if the Asahina Shugenja could move in with supplies treating the rampant Wasting Disease, he was afraid this freedom of movements would be used to Crane advantage, hiding soldiers and weapons during these missions. The powerful and irate Master of Fire Isawa Tsuke and his hatamoto Isawa Eizan stepped in, declaring their allegiance firmly on the side of the Crane. The Asako Daimyo Asako Togama and his student Asako Miyo stated the petty war did not concern the Phoenix. [4]

Morishigi expressed his disdain for the presence of the Kuni Daimyo Kuni Yori in the event, but Tsuke retorted and publicy mocked him. The Master of Fire appointed he was nothing but a brute, held in little regard even among the Matsu. Morishigi had been sent to winter court while the more important Lion members were plotting their war against the Crane. [5]
