|Children:||Matsu Kiriyo, |
Matsu Benkei was a Matsu Daimyo who retired as a monk after a long life working for his clan. Benkei had two children, Matsu Kiriyo, his eldest daughter who was very much like her mother, fallen in battle, and his younger son.
Benkei already had a greatgrandchild bore by his granddaughter when he decided to retire. Kiriyo would command the castle with her husband, and she was given a fan, a gift from the last Empress. The item would grant her the favor of the Imperial Families. His son, hatamoto to his sister, was given the family's daisho to be her commander on the battlefield. His grandson was too struggled with his desires, and he had become a target of Scorpions seeking advantage from his family. Benkei told him that his marriage with a Unicorn maiden would be held this very night. Her granddaughter was impetuous on the battlefield, so her unit accrued higher casualties than other of their units. She was given a copy of Akodo's Leadership, so the wild samurai-ko would have many months to study the writings of Akodo before she could take the field once again. After he ordered his matters, Benkei shaved his head to begin his seeking of enlightenment.
