Masters of the Coin was an organization of like-minded figures in the middle ranks of the Empire's economy, and its goal was to increase the profits of all the members. It was formed after the consortium agreed by Yasuki Garuda and Daidoji Sakura, two merchant rivals who eventually made a truce and acquired considerably greater wealth carefully positioning their mercantile interests instead of competing each other. There was no true ‘leader’, but there had always been at least one Yasuki and one Daidoji within its ranks. [1]
