Masiko was the famous novel written by Hida Nareiko, which depicted the fall of Kyuden Masiko to the Shadowlands and the ensuing jigai of Hida's wife, Hida Masiko. The account was ignored because Hida ordered to never speak the name of his first wife. [1]
