L5r:Infringement
From L5r: Legend of the Five Rings
One of the key goals of the L5R Wiki is to provide an accurate, original reference source for fans of Legend of the Five Rings. Therefore, we take the possibility of copyright infringement very seriously. Material coming from external sources -- that is, material that you have not written yourself -- may only be submitted by the original author. In all such cases, it is important to cite your sources in a "References" section, and to explicitly state that you have granted permission for this material to be used on the article's talk page.
[edit] User Responsibility
It is not the job of every member of the L5R Wiki community to police every article for possible copyright infringements. However, from time to time you may come across an article that you believe may be infringing someone's copyright, or worse, is plagiarized directly from an external source, including all published RPG material and CCG cards, as well as most internet sites. Internet sites that are expressly licensed under the GDFL (such as Wikipedia) are acceptable; all others are not.
[edit] Procedure
If a copyright violation is found, please post a notice here of the page and the reason or reasons you believe that the page infringes on someone's copyright. Also, please replace the infringing text within the article with either {{Copyvio}} or {{Copyvio-source}}. This will allow those looking at the article to attempt to fix the copyright violations.
Once the violations are fixed, a note should be left on this page saying so. The note should remain on this page for a week, then be deleted.
Articles that have not been fixed within a week of the notice being posted will be deleted.
